how do i add a card to my collection?

tap the nfc tag on the back of your physical card to your phone. it'll open a link that adds it straight to your account. no nfc on your phone? use "scan your first card" on home and enter the code printed on the card by hand.

what's the difference between common and rare?

every song release has 3 physical cards: two commons and one rare. rares are printed in smaller numbers.

can i trade cards with other fans?

yes — list any card you own on the trade floor in your profile, and other collectors can offer their own cards for it.

i tapped my card and nothing happened.

make sure nfc is turned on in your phone's settings, and that you're signed in. you can also type the code printed on the card manually from home.

1. agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Capsules website, mobile web app, and related services (the "Service"), operated by Edwin Honoret ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, scanning a card, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf, and that any purchases of physical cards are made by or with the permission of an adult. We may ask for proof of age or guardian consent at any time and may suspend accounts where we cannot verify eligibility.

3. your account

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information at signup, including your birthday, which we use for age verification and do not display publicly. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. the card system

Physical photocards are sold separately through our shop and are not purchased or paid for through this Service. Each physical card contains an NFC chip encoded with a single-use claim code. Tapping or manually entering that code links a corresponding digital record of ownership to your account. Each code may only be redeemed once and by one account; we are not responsible for codes that are lost, damaged, duplicated in error, or claimed by someone other than the card's rightful owner.

Digital card records have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, and do not represent a financial investment, security, commodity, or ownership interest of any kind in Edwin Honoret or any related entity. Card tiers ("common," "rare," "1/1") and stated edition sizes reflect how a given card was manufactured and are provided for collecting purposes only — we do not guarantee future value, resale value, or that any particular tier or edition size will be maintained, reissued, or retired.

We may add, modify, retire, or discontinue releases, cards, tiers, the leaderboard, the live feed, or any other feature of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

5. trading

The Service lets you list and trade digital card records with other users. All trades are final once accepted and cannot be reversed by us except in cases of demonstrated fraud or a technical error on our part. We are not a party to any trade, do not guarantee the fairness, value, or authenticity of any trade partner's cards, and are not liable for disputes between users arising from a trade.

6. your content

If you upload a profile photo or other content, you retain ownership of it but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it within the Service (for example, on your profile, the leaderboard, and the live feed). You're responsible for ensuring you have the rights to anything you upload and that it doesn't violate any law or infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice.

7. prohibited conduct

You agree not to: share, sell, or trade NFC claim codes separately from their physical card; attempt to claim a code that isn't from a card you legitimately possess; use bots, scripts, or automation to interact with the Service; attempt to access another user's account; interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation; or use the Service to harass, impersonate, or defraud others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, and forfeiture of associated card records.

8. purchases and refunds

Physical card purchases are made through our separate shop and are governed by that shop's own terms, pricing, and refund policies — this Service is not the point of sale and processes no payments. Refund or return requests for physical goods should be directed to the shop where they were purchased, not to this Service.

9. intellectual property

All card artwork, music, branding, and site content are owned by Edwin Honoret or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from that content beyond your personal, non-commercial use of your own claimed cards within the Service.

10. termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or abuse of the claim or trade systems. You may delete your account at any time from this Profile page. Termination does not entitle you to any refund, and digital card records tied to a terminated account may be forfeited.

11. disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edwin Honoret will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or digital card records, arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us directly for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (which, for most users, is $0, since physical cards are purchased through a separate shop).

13. changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your state/jurisdiction — to be finalized], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.

1. information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, password (stored securely, hashed — we never see it in plain text), username, and birthday. Optionally, you may add Instagram, Twitter/X, and TikTok handles, and upload a profile photo. As you use the Service, we record the cards you claim, trades you make, your leaderboard activity, bug reports you submit, and, if you opt in, a push notification subscription tied to your device.

2. how we use your information

We use this information to operate your account and collection, display your username, avatar, and stats on the leaderboard and live feed, verify you meet the minimum age to use the Service, enable trading between users, send push notifications you've opted into (like new drops or trade offers), respond to bug reports, and keep the Service secure and working as intended. Your birthday is used only for age verification and is never shown publicly.

3. information sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, which stores and processes your information on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of Edwin Honoret or our users, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a sale of the project), in which case you'll be notified.

4. cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits. We don't use third-party advertising trackers on this Service.

5. data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we immediately anonymize your username and remove your social handles, avatar, and notification subscriptions; your card claim history may be retained in de-identified form to preserve the accuracy of the leaderboard and live feed for other users.

6. your rights and choices

You can review and update your username, social handles, and profile photo at any time from this Profile page. You can turn push notifications on or off at any time. You can delete your account at any time from this page — see the "delete your account" option below for what that does. To request a copy of your data or a full deletion beyond what the self-service option provides, email us at the address below.

7. children's privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we've collected information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

8. security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and database access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
